Submissions will be judged by a jury made up of producers, directors, creative directors, performers and critics. The Pandora and the Cell-ebration Award will be awarded to jury selected films and the People's Choice Awards will be decided by you, the people!
The Pandora – a $5,000 cash prize - will be awarded to the winning short film shot on film or digital video. The top 10 short films will be screened at the Curiosity Festival gala opening on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, Canada. The Pandora will be awarded at the Curiosity Festival gala opening.
The Cell-ebration Award – an equipment package valued at $2,000.00 – will be awarded to the winning really short film shot on a cell phone. The top 10 really short cell phone films will be screened at the Curiosity Festival gala opening on Tuesday, June 5, 2007 at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto. The Cell-ebration Award will be awarded at the Curiosity Festival gala opening.
The People's Choice Awards will be awarded to the most beloved film in each category. The top ten films in each category will be broadcast during the on-line Curiosity Festival that will run from Monday, June 10 through to Friday, June 28, 2007. The film in each category with the most votes at the end of the on-line festival will receive an equipment package valued at $1,500.00 and a one year subscription to Indie Access (www.indieaccess.com).
